Life can be difficult, but when it hurts, you can ask yourself a few questions to stay motivated.
- Why did you take the harder path?
- How come you didn’t take the easy way out?
- Why didn’t I set my goal lower so I could get it easier?
- Why am I trying so hard to be better than my circumstances?
These questions have a clear answer that will help you not quit.
You’re not average
You know that in order to be the best you can possibly be, you need to push harder, set your goals higher than anyone else, and work smarter than anyone else—even when it hurts.
You know you don’t have any other choice than to be greater than your circumstances because YOU have incredible things within you that will help the world be a better place for many people.
Others around you may talk about what they’re doing, but you’re getting up at 4 am so you can read for 2 hours before everyone else has even woken up.
So you can get into the gym and get in a high-quality workout before anyone else wakes up.
Why?
When It Hurts, It’s Time To Keep Going
You know that in order to be EXTRAordinary, you do that EXTRA.
When you get up in the morning, you aren’t competing with anyone else except for yourself.
Be the best you can be.
Try to improve by 1 percent each day more than the day before.
Do the small, fundamental things that no one else wants to do because you know that is the way to success.
MASTER THE FUNDAMENTALS THAT OTHERS NEGLECT, AND YOU CAN BECOME A MASTER OF YOUR DOMAIN.
- LOVE the pain
- EMBRACE the difficulty
- RELISH the fact that you’re not doing it the easy way
You know, doing things the easy way is not the way to be the best that you can be.
It may not be easy, but it’s worth it.
When it hurts, DO MORE.
Focus on the everyday habits and tasks that will make you achieve the success you want.
Keep pushing yourself and your abilities by surrounding yourself with others who are better than you and who will push you.
When it hurts, you’re on the right path.
KEEP GOING.
